As a Process Technologist (m/f/x), you’ll set up, operate, and oversee our advanced systems during daily production.
With your know-how in manufacturing, machinery, control technology, and programming, you’ll keep production running — efficiently, reliably, and with precision. You’ll optimize processes and help ensure that, even with increasing automation, everything works seamlessly.
Step by step through the apprenticeship
In your first year, you’ll learn how to handle our key materials such as steel and aluminum. Through various module-based courses, you’ll gain fundamental skills in processing and forming techniques, from welding to basic robotics. This will give you the foundation you’ll need later on in production.
During your second year, you’ll put your knowledge into practice across different specialist departments in our plants and get to know BENTELER’s production systems up close. Guided by experienced professionals, you’ll take on your first real technical challenges as part of the team. You’ll also complete targeted module courses that prepare you for future assignments in production and for the IHK exam.
In your third year, you’ll gradually take on tasks independently within the plant environment. Depending on your interests, you’ll rotate through different areas and gain valuable hands-on experience. You’ll also have the chance to deepen your knowledge through additional qualifications and specialized courses. At the same time, you’ll be fully prepared for the final part of your certification exam.

At BENTELER, we train for our own workforce needs. That means: if your performance is strong and you’re committed during your apprenticeship, you have excellent chances of being hired afterward and launching your career with us.
You’ll need a motivation letter, your résumé, and at least your two most recent school reports. If you’ve completed internships or have certificates – perfect! Upload them as well. They help us understand your experience and strengths.
Absolutely! You can apply even if your final report card isn’t available yet. In that case, simply send us your most recent mid-year reports. You can upload your final certificate later if we need it.
