You set up machines, monitor production, and ensure quality. Technical understanding, precision, and a sense of responsibility are what define this profession—ideal for anyone who enjoys practical work and loves modern technology.
Step by step through the apprenticeship
You’ll begin with a solid introduction to workplace safety, environmental protection, and production processes. You’ll learn the basics of metalworking and get familiar with inspection and quality methods. You’ll also gain your first insights into electrical engineering and pneumatics. At the end of the year, you’ll take an interim exam to check your progress.
Now things get hands-on: you’ll learn how to set up, operate, and safely run production equipment. Your knowledge of pneumatics and electrical engineering will grow deeper, and you’ll maintain equipment, check its function, and document results correctly. At the end of the program, you’ll demonstrate your skills in both a written and a practical exam.

At BENTELER, we train for our own workforce needs. That means: if your performance is strong and you’re committed during your apprenticeship, you have excellent chances of being hired afterward and launching your career with us.
You’ll need a motivation letter, your résumé, and at least your two most recent school reports. If you’ve completed internships or have certificates – perfect! Upload them as well. They help us understand your experience and strengths.
Absolutely! You can apply even if your final report card isn’t available yet. In that case, simply send us your most recent mid-year reports. You can upload your final certificate later if we need it.
