You don’t just want to talk about IT — you want to build it? Then training as an IT Specialist (m/f/x) is exactly your path. In Application Development, you’ll dive into programming, create your own software solutions, and contribute your ideas to projects across different departments at BENTELER. If you choose System Integration, you’ll make sure our networks and IT systems run smoothly by planning, installing, and maintaining complex infrastructures. No matter which specialization you select, you’ll work hands-on from day one, learn modern technologies, and take on real responsibility. Step by step through the apprenticeship
In your first year, you’ll gradually immerse yourself in the IT world at BENTELER. You’ll rotate through different IT areas and gain initial hands-on experience — from small tasks to your first project steps. At the same time, you’ll attend vocational school in block format to learn the theoretical fundamentals. This combination gives you a solid foundation for everything that follows.
In your second year, you’ll work much more independently and take on greater responsibility in projects. You’ll discover which tasks suit you best — programming, networks, hardware, support, or something entirely different. Supported by your schoolwork and hands-on practice, you’ll also complete the first part of your IHK exam. Together with your training team, you’ll determine your strengths and which departments best match your skills — helping you shape your future path in IT at BENTELER.
In your third and final year, you're entering the home stretch. You’ll focus on the areas that align with your future role, take on increasing responsibility, and gradually become a fully qualified IT professional. At the same time, you’ll prepare intensively for your final exam — including your project paper and presentation — always supported by your instructors. Our goal is simple: for you to pass successfully and take the next step into your career with us.

At BENTELER, we train for our own workforce needs. That means: if your performance is strong and you’re committed during your apprenticeship, you have excellent chances of being hired afterward and launching your career with us.
You’ll need a motivation letter, your résumé, and at least your two most recent school reports. If you’ve completed internships or have certificates – perfect! Upload them as well. They help us understand your experience and strengths.
Absolutely! You can apply even if your final report card isn’t available yet. In that case, simply send us your most recent mid-year reports. You can upload your final certificate later if we need it.
