Versatile, process-oriented, future-ready!
The combined study program in Electrical Engineering lays the foundation for your professional future. Through this systemic, process-oriented program, you’ll become a true all-rounder with broad technical knowledge and excellent career prospects. Whether it’s research and development, project planning, or forward-looking fields like digitalization and Industry 4.0 – as an electrical engineer, many paths are open to you. And best of all, international assignments make your responsibilities even more exciting and offer outstanding development opportunities.
STEP BY STEP THROUGH THE COMBINED STUDY PROGRAM
In your first year, you’ll start with the fundamentals of electrical engineering and gain your first practical experience – for example through a pre-study internship or assignments at BENTELER’s plants. You can also contribute to exciting projects such as our Open House.
In your second year, you’ll take ownership of your own projects, for example at school fairs or internal BENTELER events. Alongside additional practical assignments, you’ll deepen your knowledge in areas such as control technology, robotics, and PLC systems.
Your third year includes an international assignment – a great opportunity to gain international experience. You’ll also complete your Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) exam as an Electronics Technician and lead your first plant tours.
In your fourth year, you’ll meet managers at regular networking events and actively help plan your own work assignments. You’ll also complete your bachelor’s thesis.
In your fifth year, you’ll focus on specialization: gaining further practical experience, writing your project thesis, and – if you choose – completing a semester abroad.
In the sixth year, you’ll apply the finishing touches to your studies: working in potential target departments, contributing to complex projects, and completing the program with your master’s thesis – your launchpad for a career at BENTELER.
