FAQs about school internships

A school internship is your chance to get a real taste of working life for a few days or weeks and find out what you enjoy. You’ll gain exciting insights into everyday work – whether the internship is organized by your school or you take it on voluntarily during your holidays.

That depends on your school – most school internships last between one and three weeks. During this time, you’ll get to explore new things and gain your first hands-on experience.

It's super easy – just apply through our career page. Here you can find the current internship positions and apply directly. Simply upload your application documents and we’ll get in touch with you. Pro tip: Apply at least 2 months in advance so we can plan your internship properly.

You’ll need your résumé, your most recent school report and the time period in which you’d like to do your internship. If you want, you can also upload a short cover letter – it helps us get to know you a little better.

Acceptable file formats: DOCX, PDF, image, and text (MSG, PPT, and XLS file formats are not acceptable for resumes or cover letters)

FAQs about pre-study internships

A pre-study internship is a mandatory internship required by many universities if you want to start a technical degree such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or civil engineering. It gives you a chance to gain practical experience in a technical environment – preparing you for your studies and giving you a clear idea of what to expect.

A pre-study internship usually lasts 6 weeks. The exact duration can vary depending on the university. It’s best to check the specific requirements of your chosen university in advance.

You’ll gain insights into different technical areas, such as joining and separation processes or forming techniques.

You’ll work hands-on, learn typical workflows, get to know machines and tools, and gain your first real experience in a technical working environment.

Our training workshop offers fixed time periods for pre-study internships each year. Each time period has its own job posting, where you can apply directly. So make sure to check our career page regularly so you don’t miss the right window.

Very easily – through our jobboard. There you’ll find the current postings and can apply online.
